Weber quality at it's best. If you like cooking with charcoal then the Performer Grill is for you with it's generous table size and easy charcoal starter.
I have used this grill more times than I can count from simple burgers to indirect grilling turkey breats to smoking pork shoulder. This grill combines the best of two worlds: the convenience of gas and the flavor of charcoal. However, one still needs to plan ahead to allow the charcoal to be ready. I purchased a hose extension so that I can hook up full size 20 pound propane tank instead of the small 1 pound tank it is advertised with and I recommend doing this for anyone who purchases this grill.
The only downside to this grill that I have found after 3 years of very heavy use is that the propane flame surface area doesn't necessarily cover both containers used to hold the charcoal. In other words, the propane flame leaves the very end of the charcoal container untouched for slightly uneven charcoal starting. This problem, however, is minor.
