I bought T-Junior because of the size. I like my Junior yet, I did have problems at first. Traeger worked with me on the problem and replaced the Pellet box and all controls. Works great! The price on the Junior compared to other bands is cheaper and metal isn't as heavy duty. The Temp. outside can effect the operating temp. if it's cold outside. I bought a New temp. control unit it works fine. My food always comes out great. Even with the problems, I would buy again. I am very pleased with my smoker.

This pit has been nothing but wonderful for me. This is the perfect SMOKER used for LOW and SLOW not HAMBURGERS. With that said, the forums devoted to Traeger cookers speak very highly of their customer service department, and it sounds like the negative reviewer merely had a bad heating element which has been an occasional problem noted in the forums, but has always been quickly remedied. BUY THIS SMOKER over ANY other electric smoker, line the bottom with fire bricks, and enjoy.

the perfect grill

we have had our grill 3 months now,and we think it is great. you don't have to deal with propane tanksand their expense .there is no open flame to burn your food .you can cook hotdogs and hamburgers on high as fast as propane .this grill is as easy as cooking in your oven. we get our pellets from our local home hardware store .
knowing what I know now about our grill I would have bought one with a larger hood , but the grill is large enough for my wife and I . my wife enjoys cooking on the BBQ now . the catch pan is a great idea for the grease and never gives you any problem

Junior does not work

Purchased one - it worked when I seasoned the grill, but then quit working ( the pellets would not light). Took it back to Cabela's and as always, their return procedure was great and got another. Seasoned the grill and tried to cook burgers on it, same problem. There is a problem with the fan or the thermostat. Called Treager customer service and visited with a young person that had very little knowledge about it, told her that I would take it back and buy a different brand of grill and she said great! I have heard nothing but great things about the Traeger Gills, but the Junior has just hit the market and I would suggest that you should not purchase one until they have the bugs worked out of it.
