Very nice decoys. The paint on the heads looked touched up as the paint was a different shade of white. It was as if they were touched up before they left the factory. I throw these 4 decoys out with my 12 Carry Lite snows for variety and they look good in the mix. Had some late season high flyers come down for a look! I'm very careful with these as I don't want the paint to chip or flake. I want them to last. I think if you are careful with them they'll last a long time.

These decoys look deadly! I would definitely recommend them, even for the high price. I was debating buying a cheaper version of snows to paint, but it wouldn't be worth it and you wouldn't be able to compete with these paint jobs.
I did read other reviews about paint chipping, which concerned me, but when mine arrived they were 99% the way they should have been. It seems they lay on the white head paint very thickly (and possibly too quickly) so it shows that it will chip off a little bit. But that would be a quick problem to fix, and from a realistic standpoint every dozen blues in a real flock will have a few darker ones in the bunch. The chipping will happen for sure a little bit, but it will only unveil dark grey underneath. So it won't hurt the look of a spread - at least to the geese!
Also, the size is very lifelike and I was able to fit 18 of them into one oversized decoy bag. So that's a huge plus if you have to walk in to your spots like I do in the spring.

Poor paint
Date:
I gave the decoy a 2 rating because the paint on the body was excellent but as in the previous review the white paint on the head was terrible. I couldn't justify buying 4 decoys at that kind of price and then on top of that having to buy paint to repaint the heads right out of the box. The paint was chipping off of them just by barely touching it. I think the Greenhead people need to get this resolved because they have a great decoy but do have some serious quality issues with them.

poor paint job

I have other green head decoys snows and blues however I was very disappointed when I opened up the 4 pack of blues I had bought for my 10 year old son from Santa only to discover that 2 of the adult blues had half of the white paint missing off of their heads. They were cracked and chipped and looked horrible. I repainted them at 2 a.m. so my son would have his gift from Mr Claus. I hope no one else has had this problem
