I have had this call for a few years now and it is still better than any smaller short reed I have blown recently. Takes very little air or back pressure yet allows for great moans when the birds are close. If you are looking for a deep sounding call then you should get something else but if you are looking for a call that you can get fast with and really get after those geese then this is the call you want.

Excellent Short Reed

This is one of the best short reed goose calls on the market. I was in the audience in southern Illinois when Kevin Popo won the Avery International on this call a few year ago. It's impressive on the stage and just as deadly in the field. This call has excellent volume and is easy for the average caller to operate. In the hands of an accomplished caller it will make every sound necessary to fool Canada geese. As a former guide with over 30 years of hunting experience, I have blown almost every short reed call on the market today. The Eastern Shorty is "as good as it gets".
