wrong lining
Date:
I was very pleased with these gloves up until my recent elk hunt.
The gloves have done a nice job of keeping my hands warm and dry. They provide adequate warmth even in windy conditions, and while I have never fully immersed my hand in water while wearing the gloves, they keep my hands dry when they come into contact with snow, etc.
What I have discovered to be the only problem with these gloves is that the liner makes putting the gloves on with wet hands nearly impossible. I experienced this trouble on a recent elk hunt. After field dressing the elk and using the snow to clean blood off my hands, I was anxious to get my hands back into the gloves. Unfortunately, doing so took a long time because my hands were a little wet. The fabric in the fingers bunched up and took some work to straighten out. This inconvenience was exaggerated by the fact that the wind began to blow harder and the snow fall increased.
These gloves with a different liner would be perfect. As they are, I can only give them 4 of 5 stars.

I USED THESE GLOVES FOR THE SECOND TIME AND WAS DISSAPPOINTED.THE TEMPRATURE WAS 15 DEGREES AND WIND OF 9 M.P.H., FEELS LIKE 5 DEGREES. THE THUMBS STARTED GETTING COLD FIRST ,THEN INDEX FINGERS.TIME I GOT BACK TO THE HOUSE WHICH WAS ONE HOUR BOTH HANDS WERE VERY COLD AND EVEN THE TOP OF MY HANDS WERE COLD. I EXPECTED GLOVES TO TAKE CARE IN THAT TEMPERATURE RANGE,BUT IT DIDN'T HAPPEN. WHAT WOULD I HAVE TO GET TO BE ABLE TO WALK IN THOSE TEMPERATURES WITHOUT COLD HANDS. MORE EXPENSIVE GLOVES? WHAT IS THE HYPE ABOUT GORTEX. THANK YOU
