cold when wet
Date:
bought these gloves for a hunt in Colorado, they worked great until it snowed and they got wet from the snow. Once the fleece gets wets it doesn't dry out. My hands never got wet, but they were so cold that it felt like they were wet. I'd be afraid to buy any dry-plus line clothing if I'm going into wet/cold woods. The fleece just doesn't keep you warm when it's wet.

Really nicw gloves!
Date:
I bought these gloves on a bargain sale via the website. I have really big hands and finding gloves that fit me is a rare find due to my long fingers. I bought the 2XL hoping they'd be close. To my surprise, they fit like a glove (NPI) and the quality far surpassed my expectations. The palm's are very nicely sewn rugged leather, yet are soft enough to handle a gun easily. They extend up the arm and close easily with the elastic drawstring to keep snow and cold out. The strap on the wrist snug's them up very nicely as well and are very easy to release. They have enough insulation to keep your hands warm but are not bulky at all. Waterproof too! What more can you ask for! These gloves are well worth the full regular price if you need a high quality cold weather glove. Had I known how nice they are, I would have bought 2 pair at least.

Dry Hands
Date:
Rough winter here this year.
Lots of water and snow!!!
Bought these to replace my old gloves that always left my hands cold and WET from moving all this wet snow.
These gloves do absorb a fair amount of water, but that water NEVER reaches my skin!! Exactly what I bought these for.

EXCELLENT GLOVES Cabela's DryPlus Extreme Gauntlet
Date:
These gloves are warm but are not windproof; So while using them for late fall riding on the motorcycle or just on extra cold and windy winter days in the woods there is enough room to wear a liner glove inside these for a very warm and cozy glove expierence. This versatility can be had even while ordeing the correct size.
The adjusting hardware on the gauntlets is glove friendly and the fingers offer pretty good articulation for such warm gloves. I have barely tested the waterproofness but so far so good for having dry hands except maybe for a little sweating.
As for extreme hunting these gloves are NOT up to the state-of-the-art 2010 scent control measures. The palms do have an odor but i think this can be overcome.
