Minelab X-Terra 705

I was undecided on whether to purchase the e-trac or the 705. The vast cost difference made the decision easy. This unit is light and probably more than the novice may need but offers room to learn and grow for sure. I have found it to handle easily, easy on the arm after hours of use. The tones are easy to hear with and without headphones and it readily discriminates between metals. All the common clad coins can be identified by the tone and or numeric readout with a short learning curve. The Minelab website also offers some good instructional videos as well. I would recommend the unit and consider the extended protection plan from Cabelas as one slip into water near a beach and it pays for itself. Good hunting!!
