This emergency weather-alert radio stores up to 10 different weather- and all-hazards alerts and displays them in your language of choice - either Spanish, English or French. All-hazard alerts include: Amber alerts, local area emergency, fire alert messages and more. Unit receives seven National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) and Environment Canada Weather channels and emergency alerts with color-coded alert indicators. Features Specific Area Message Encoding (SAME) that can be programmed to receive only bad weather and emergency alerts that occur in up to 25 specific counties. Three selectable warning systems: siren alarm, flashing LED or voice alert. Features the time, date and an alarm clock with snooze. Public-alert certified. Operates on three AA batteries (not included) or 12-volt DC power source (included).

Great Radio!

This radio is a lifesaver, we have no local channels with our service and this alerts us perfectly when there is bad weather. Very easy to set up and it has very good sound so you know when it is going off!

I love this radio. I've never had a problem with it all. We lost power for 3 days at one time and never lost the batteries in this radio. I highly recommend this weather radio for anyone.

The radio works as expected, but there are two things that prevent me giving it a higher rating... 1) Battery life. When on standby, which is exactly where you'll most likely have the radio, since it's designed to alert you to the unexpected, battery life is atrocious. Three or four days, without powering it up to listen to weather forecasts, and you'll find that the batteries are dead. 2) Programming. This thing isn't exactly user friendly. I keep instructions clipped to the radio all the time, since none of the programming is intuitive.

For the price, great radio. Remember, this is a nooa weather only. Great reception, and battery life. Little hard to set up, but worth the effort.
