Cedar Wine Press

  • Prepare ciders and wines
  • Rachet mechanism extracts maximum juice
  • Tripod base has bolt-down feet
  • Powder-coated cast-iron construction resists rust
Unlock the flavors hidden in apples, grapes and other fruits by preparing ciders and wines. The screw-down method of pressing is one of the oldest and most efficient ways to tap the natural tastes of your favorite fruits for tasty beverages made at home. Simply place the fruits in the juicing basket, cover them with the wood pressing board and crank the handle down. As the board squeezes the fruit, the juice escapes through the wooden slats down to a built-in spout for mess-free removal. The rachet mechanism provides leverage and power to extract the maximum amount of juice. Tripod base has bolt-down feet for easy one-person operation. Powder-coated cast-iron construction resists rust and deterioration caused by the citric acids and sugars found in most fruits.

Well Built Fruit Press
Date:
Like our second President, Adams, I am a big fan of hard apple cider. Pressing out all that juice had been an arduous chore until I got my fruit press from Cabela's. It is well built with an adequately sized basket for pressing the juice from two bushels of apples. The finish holds up well to acidic fruit and the mechanical advantage makes short work of a big job. I think that I'll be picking a lot of choke cherries this fall now that I have a sensible way to juice them. A nice piece of equipment.

We haven't used our cider press yet, but my brother-in-law bought one just like it and we have used it. We loved it enough to buy our own!

Great Press
Date:
This baby does a nice job. Used it last fall to squeeze grapes for homemade wine. Press small batches at a time though for best results.

Good for small batches
Date:
I received this press as a gift after using a similar small press. This first one came damaged and needed to be returned. The second one came missing some of the blocks which got promptly shipped to me when requested. This one does not operate as smoothly as the older one I had used. My recommendation is if you need to do any quantity at one time (I have a small vineyard and do batches of several hundred pounds of grapes at a time) buy a bigger press. Cabelas customer service continues to be stellar to make up for an average product.
