Yamaha's industry-leading inverter generator is the ultimate in lightweight portable electricity. Features Pulse Width Modulation that produces pure sine-wave voltage, resulting in clean electricity that's perfect for anything from sensitive electronic equipment to computer-controlled appliances and power tools. Generator is built with sound-absorbing materials, newly designed USFS-approved spark-arrestor muffler, and revolutionary Yamaha engine to keep noise levels below 58dBA max. Smart Throttle™ automatically adjusts engine speed to match the electrical load required resulting in quieter operation and greater fuel efficiency. Electrical overload breakers prevent generator damage should an overload take place. Engine is air-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder OHV. Additional features include an Oil Watch Warning System to prevent engine damage, a 12-volt DC outlet and included cables to charge any 12-volt battery.

Great little rig

Out of the box, we added oil and gas, started first pull. Ran at idle, our 32" refrigerator, the variable speed motor in our HVAC system set full heat, and tv/cable box with only a minor throttle increase when the compressor kicked on. Then added, one at a time, the coffee pot and espresso maker which caused an increase in RPM's. I had calculated this load to be over 2400 watts, but she was working just fine. I had to know the limit, so brought the toaster on line and it went into overload cutting the power within a few seconds. It is expensive, but the build quality is excellent and 500 hour engine life means my beer will stay cold and my wife can dry her hair when the power is out. Life is good indeed.

I ordered this unit after much research, and was surprised how quick it was shipped to my door! Only 4 business days to Canada! Added Oil and Gas and it started on the first pull. It sure beats the Honeywell 2000i that I had to pull 50 times every year at the start of the season, and usually 10 times every time out camping. The only problem I had was UPS dropped this off on my front porch while I was away on vacation. Luckily I was able to get someone to hide it so no one would steal it!

Love my 2000i unit

I got this unit to replace another similar orange colored unit after it burned up the first few hours. I love this unit ! Works perfect. I got an plug in type load meter and have written down all items in my trailer that require 120V. I know how to run different items at different times to keep the loads managed properly. I can run everything in my trailer but the AC if I don't run them all at the same time or in wrong combinations.

I ordered this generator at 4 pm on a Monday an UPS delivered it on Wed. Added oil and gas and it started on the first pull. Nice unit and quiet! Used it to run work lights, 10 amp skill saw, 7 amp hammer drill ,13 amp miter saw and 10 amp air compressor. All run great, have not tried it with the 30' Rv, will do so later this month.
