This high-capacity gravity feeder features a rugged segmented body that automatically collapses as it empties. This Flat-Out design makes it easy to judge feed levels at a glance, saves time and effort during transport when empty and conserves space for efficient storage. Its waist-high design also provides a convenient filling height. Tough, all-steel construction for lasting durability. No assembly required; no motors or batteries needed. Capacity: 250 lbs.
Great concept on this feeder but it needs more time in the R & D area. I purchased (3) of these units, (2) of them arrived damaged not from shipping, from pour packaging and workman. Cabela's said they would replace but not worth the time "Not Cabela's Fault". The dome at the bottom of the feeder needs to be higher to allow feed to drop to the feed openings. The clamp which hold the lids on needs to have more clamping hold down, "high winds take them off". One (1) of the units the inner nylon liner was torn @ the upper ring, from one the rivets holding ring in place. The other unit had a weld with "no" penetration for the (2) parts to be welded together. The Mfg. is lacking quality control.
I should have looked at them in a store before ordering. Which there was a Cabela's in the TN area. You get what you pay for!
Love this product. So easy to place, fill with anything and no problem seen by users getting their share. Doesn't come pouring out, holds up to bumping/hoofing and doesn't damage velvet . Yet to see if bear can damage it like they do the full time feeder units. Does go thru feed quicker because of lack of access control versus on time units. I will be purchasing additional units for remote locations.
