Metal funnel, spinner plate and integrated varmint guard
Industrial-grade motor
User-friendly LED programmer unit
Metal funnel, spinner plate and integrated guard keep varmints away while the industrial-grade motor dispenses feed up to six times a day. User-friendly LED programmer unit sets run time from 1 to 20 seconds. Hardware included. Uses one 6-volt battery (not included).
The Moultrie Pro Magnum feeder is high quality and heavy duty compared to typical feeders I have used in the past, and it is more compact than most other "professional" grade feeders. The critter guard really works for squirrels and racoons. The option for adding a second battery extends the time between recharges. I am really happy with the performance. I would buy another one.
Seems well built, was easy to set up. Only been using it 2 weeks but seems much better than any of the basic models. So far worth the money. I would give 5 stars but want to wait and see how it holds up.
I have 10 feeders that I keep up with and must say that the Moultree PRO MAGNUM feeder is my favorite. I have had mine slinging corn four straight years with zero issues. The construction is amazing with space for two batteries, an easy digital timer to program, and metal housing designed to stand up to the elements. I would highly recommend this feeder to anyone that does not have time to visit their hunting properties often. One of my leases is two hours away and I can count on the feeder always while my buddy is always having to repair his set up (not a pro magnum Feeder). The feeder will sling corn 20' or more with two strong batteries and there is room to wire a solar panel to keep the batteries charged. I believe this is the best feeder on the market, so I bought two more this year. You will not be disappointed if you choose this unit for your deer feeder.
After using several different type of feeder in the past, I do think this one is the best. Simple to install, has the built in funnel and all metal houseing- which is protected from the critters (bear in my area). The only drawback is the programing- I did not find a "test" button, to see if the unit is still working in the field, or how far it is throwing the feed. Other than that, this unit does have it all. The dual battery option is also very nice for extreme long term usage.
