Set up several of these low-price feeders for less than one of the more expensive models. Six simple-to-program feeding times. Includes metal feeder funnel and spinner plate.
Bought feeder in 2002 and have never had a moments trouble. Rechargable batteries last 3 to 4 months in it. Easy set up and test procedure. I have another one and it has been good also. A friend has 4 more and if not for a bear slapping them around all of his have been good.
We have 4 of these feeders and they are all two years old and work great. We had 1 that spent 2 months on the ground and we changed the battery and away it went.
I bought one eight years ago and I have beat it up pretty bad. Dropped it with a full load of corn and watched squirels hang off of it. This year the spinner rod broke. Was well worth the investment years back. Should have bought another cabelas feeder. I have used rechargable batteries in the cabelas feeder since i bought it. Check ur terminals and keep the photo cell cleaned or just take the cover off of it by knocking it out of the hole. It may not be reading the sun properly.
This feeder is an excellent choice for entry level units. No bells and whistles. Install it and deploy. It defaults to 1 hour after sunrise and 1 hour before sunset.
