I recently purchased this as a replacement for the same kind. The older one I had was finicky but it worked most of the time so I thought I would replace it with the same unit so it would mount in the same holes.They have updated the new one with a new timer. This new timer is a real pain. It has no memory so if you need to change anything, you have to go thru and reprogram everything. The new plastic cover has no access hole to the timer either. Anyways, got it hooked up and it worked one day and quit. All it does is buzzes. All done with this brand. Usually Cabelas products are very good. Not this one.

Timer pasted away.

Mine operated for a couple of weeks. Then it stopped turning the spinner plate motor on. The rest of t the timer cycles etc worked fine. I coild hear what sounded like the timer relay (for turning the motor on) clicking and then clicking agian after several seconds when I pressed the "test" button. Must be a bad switch or motor. Too bad because otherwise it was pretty slick and easy to program..

We have 6 feeders that are some distance away so we need reliable equipment. Out of 6 feeders 3 of these heads quit working and all of them are less that a year old. I would return them but didn't keep the box or receipts big mistake.
