With an extra-large capacity, the 225-lb. Hanging Game Feeder significantly reduces refilling trips. Its heavy-duty, UV-resistant polyurethane barrel has a locking lid ring to seal out moisture, and a funneled base. Adjustable steel hanging bail and attached arms pack inside the hopper for space-saving storage. Program this easy-to-assemble digital feeder for one to 16 feedings per day, adjust the length of time for each feeding from 1 to 30 seconds, and choose which days of the week to feed. A metal spinner plate and funnel ensures smooth feed flow and distribution. The timer is powered by a 6-volt battery. (6-volt battery and dual-stage charger sold separately). Pre-wired for a solar panel charger (not included).

The plastic can holding the battery is not waterproof. The battery is held upside down holding the terminals to a contact plate. Water gets in and corrodes it. I modified in the field; turned the battery sideways and used alligator clips on the terminals. Great design for mass production; poor design for outdoor use. Otherwise works fine.

worked just fine until the wind blew it off the eyehook and smashed the mechanism. (timer was still working). battery lasted about 2 weeks. wished it would have a smooth cover that didn't hold water
