Product claims to work out to 300 feet or 100 yards, I bought 2 units, neither would work past 120 feet or 40 yards(checked with a range finder). At that distance, I can just walk to my feeder and do it manually. I had clear line of sight to all feeders and it was a clear, sunny day, temps in the 70's, I installed these on multiple units in different locations to ensure it was not a certain location giving me the issue.
Another issue was there is no adjustment on the lenght of time the motor runs once you are able to start the feeder remotely. It starts and runs for 30 seconds, which is longer than I feel is needed(especially with the cost of corn or protein).
The remotes are easy to install, however. Called customer service, they are nice but offered no solutions and admitted there were no adjustments for the time the motor runs. They also said that the 300 feet was under idea conditions?
