The RD225 Pro VB Tripod Feeder Kit includes the RD Pro Digital Feeder Kit with Varmint Buster that adds electric shock deterrent to unwanted pests that can rob feed. The RD Pro Digital Feeder Kit has the same housing as the R Pro Feeder Kit but it's upgraded with a digital clock timer that lets you program one to 16 feeding times per day with variable daily time combinations. Three feed rates. Clock has built-in rechargeable battery. Built-in varmint guard. Simple installation – fits most any feed container. Runs on one 6-volt spring-top battery (not included). Metal spinner plate. 225-lb. capacity feeder has three 8-ft. sectional galvanized legs. Barrel is heavy-duty polymer with a quick-release lid for easy loading.

Stands the test of Time

We own 1000+ acres in West Texas. I bought 25 of these feeders three years ago and eveyone of them are still in great shape. I went to the Ft Worth, TX store a few weeks ago and bought 10 more. American Hunter makes quality feeders at a great price. If you do ever have a problem with them, their customer service people are the best in the business.

Amerrican Hunter feeder

This feeder is one of the best on the market for the price I would say. My familty owns a 200 acre farm with feeders and cameras set up in various places. I have had this product ot in the field for about 2 months and liked the way it has performed. The battery life on this feeder is tremendous I have yet to change the battery since. I have gotten many pictures of does&fawns and several pictures of nice bucks feeding on my feeder. One other of the nice features of this feeder is the varmint buster, i have had several friends whos feeder have gotten ruined because A coon or squirell has gotten into the feeder and busted up the gears. The only reason i have given this product 4 stars is because It is harder than it should be to set up specificlly the mounting bracket that is made to hold the legs and because I have yet to use it through winter and see how durable and how good the battery life of it is then. Over all I think this is one of the best feeders on the market for the price.

great feeder

For all the options, this is a great feeder. It came with solar kit, varmint guard, variable feeder schedule and rechargeable battery. I have had no problems with the feeder at all - it was more difficult than it needed to be to put together - especially the band support that encircles the feeder and attaches to the leg supports - wingnuts might be better option than the 1/2" bolts that come with the kit - otherwise a great product. Worked perfectly from initial setup - I have 2 that are within hearing distance of each other and they have kept perfect time with each other. I really like the ability to have feeds set for every day vs variable feeds - I set them to feed just before light during the week and right after dawn on the weekends when I go hunting - gets the deer to the feeder right on time. I also like the ability of the feeder to sling corn as easily as deer feed pellets. I would definitely recommend - make sure the solar panel faces the predominant sunny side of feeder and it keeps the battery well charged.
