American Hunter R Pro - does what it is supposed

Simply - the feeder works.
It is reliable, batteries last a long time. You have enough adjustments in feeding times and amounts to satisfy anyone.
The only drawback is that it is made of plastic. Not a problem unless a bear can reach it. If a bear rips it out of the tree - the plastic housing will break.
I bought two more to replace two that the bears did in. Just need to hang them to the bears can't reach them (its amazing what a bear can figure out!)

The Feeder That won't Feed!

I have owned this item for less than 3 months and the timmer will only work when it wants to. Some times it goes off in the middle of the night and sometimes it goes off at noon.

Found out that I had to swing them between two trees to keep the bear from climbing up and ripping them down. Very dependable otherwise

Go for the RD pro.

I just purchased this unit and needing to get my feeder working i had to settle with it. I should have went for the RD pro. This one only allows you feed on the hour. Poor quality.
