Good concept, poor results
Date:
Idea is good and material does slide over rough terrain more easily than animal only. Unfortunately, there is no way to attach the sled around the deer in a manner which prevents the sled from rolling over every time a bump or log is encountered. Even on relatively flat terrain, there is a tendency to flip over. I actually threw mine away, though in hindsight, I probably could have saved it and let my grandsons use it to slide down snow covered hills. Pretty much useless for what it was intended. Bought a game cart instead and am waiting to see if that works better. Can't help but think anything will be better, even dragging the deer out without any assistance.

Good only on level ground
Date:
I bought this thinking it would make the 2 mile hike from my stand to the truck a lot easier when I got a deer. I was mistaken. Even though I tried to center the deer as well as I could, the sled kept flipping over on every bump and small log. I spent my time pulling the sled about ten feet and then flipping it back over and trying to adjust the deer. Also the tow rope that comes with the sled is very poor quality and broke on me four times. If you do purchase this product, use your own rope. When I finally got on a level trail with a little snow, I didn't have as many problems and the sled did make it easier to drag the deer. All in all not worth the money.
