Well Built Game Cart
Date:
The cart was a little heavy, but seemed sturdy and durable. It was easy to assemble. The backpacking straps were uncomfortable. I could not imagine packing it very far without it digging in.
My reason for sending it back was the smell of the tires. With the heavy, rubbery odor, I just didn't want to put it in my closed SUV.

Not for Big Woods Huinting
Date:
Purchased this cart thinking it would be able to handle the terrain in he Adirondacks but not so! The cart would be fine on a flat trail but to navigate in big woods of the Adirondaks it would have a hard time going over blow down or uneven terrain. The packing of it is uncomfortable and for simple portageing would fold open and would have to be tied closed. Not easy to store without removing the wheels.

Finally got to use it
Date:
Very good cart for the money. I hunt in the pine's of N.J. and hike in about a half mile down a sandy trail. I bought this cart last year and just used it for the first time. Its nice that you can carry it on your back to your downed game. It gets a little tricky loading the deer onto it by yourself but I am thinking most carts are like this. What I did was tie the handle to a tree with some rope and this prevented it from moving up or down. After the deer was loaded I positioned it to balance on the cart and secured it with the straps that came with it. I was impressed with how easy it was compared to dragging a deer out on the ground. Pulling it over downed branches was easy and it remained stable. The only downside if you want to call it that is the accessory pouch is where the deer's head rest and in my case got bloody. Not a big deal and the pouch holds the axles and pins and the rope I used to tie the handle to the tree with. So for the one time I used this cart so far I really like it.

Nice cart
Date:
Just received this cart today. As some others have said, the assembly instructions are not the best, but its not hard to figure out. Assembly didn't take long. I am surprised at how heavy the tires are. They probably make up half the weight if not more of the entire cart. That said, I don't think there will be any breakage like some wheels on other carts.
Bear season starts in a few days, then deer season comes in the week after Thanskgiving. After dragging last years buck over two miles, I'm looking forward to wheeling one out this year. I ain't getting any younger!
I only gave it four stars because of the weight of the wheels and the fact I haven't used it yet. The entire weight of the cart isn't a deal breaker, but like the other poster, I hope to find something to replace them with. Oh, and yes the tires due have a heavy rubber smell. I'll be leaving the tires out in the back yard under a pile of leaves in hopes of getting rid of the odor.
