The Primos Double Cottontail Distress call is my "go to" call for coyotes. This call has been the last sound dozens of coyotes in central Kansas and OK have heard at my hands.
It's a very efficient design. Usually when you find a call with this type of volume, you'll lose control when you try to pull it back and play softly, but the double reed design of this call is very efficient, and lets the caller play the whole range from soft to LOUD without sacrificing versatility or control.

Best Cottontail Distress call I own...

I've been calling coyotes for over 20yrs, and own over 60 different mouth calls, and the Double Cottontail by Primos is the best Cottontail distress call I own.
A ton of rasp, and great volume. Very sharp. Easy to control whether you're playing loud over open ground, or playing soft in close cover.
I own 3 of these calls, one lives in my glovebox as a backup, one lives in my coyote pack, and my brother in law kept my 3rd one after I let him borrow it last winter to try out.

This call is the best I have found so far! It is real raspy & gives it an amazingly realistic sound. It is plenty loud and simple to get great sound out of. I would recommend this to anybody who likes to get the yotes!
