The Baffle Bugle™ Elk Call lets you precisely control volume while maintaining high-pitched bugles. The baffle opens for greater volume or greater back pressure. Includes two snap-on reeds, camo cover, mouthpiece, protective-rubber cap, instructional DVD and sling lanyard.
The baffle bugle was a disappointment. The baffle does absolutely nothing to controll the volume of the call and just adds weight to an allready heavy call. This call has only one volume, quiet. I am a big fan of primos but if you want an exellent bugle go with the terminator and if you need the baffle effect you can use your hand on the end of the tube, it works very well.
I really like this new bugle. The accordion style neck is nice to keep it short for carrying and lets it bend easily for movement during use. I kept it short for cow calling while stalking and that worked good too. I always kept the "baffle" wide open, and didn't really find it very useful. Another great call from Primos and this buggle really makes some sweet sounds.
I love to rip bugles. A buddy has the Primos Terminator and I have the Abe & Sons Dominator. When I saw the baffle I thought that would make good diversity. But no, the baffle has no tonality like the Terminator and goes from a grunt to a scream almost uncontrolably. Which is sweet for ripping those high pitched bugles for elk at a great distance but ain't sweet for acting like that satellite bull. And from my testing it didn't make a ounce of difference when adjusting the baffle. A gimic. The terminator is the way to rip it in my opinion.
