Knight & Hale's new Yella Hammer features a patent pending Integrated Soundboard, which adds resonance to your calling for full, lifelike turkey sounds. Instead of a flat soundboard, which can dampen your volume, the Integrated Soundboard's raised spirals and holes focus on the sound for true calling. Classic Sla-Tek surface combined with a Power Tip Striker allow for loud or quiet calling, wet or dry. The WIP Technology (Wood Impregnated Plastic) pot provides the rich sound of wood with the durability and water resistance of plastic.

The yella hammer produced great realistic sounds, both loud and soft. If you find the sweet spots you can really manipulate the pitch well. I had two longbeards fly to within 10 yards of me after making a couple of soft yelps and clucks. The proof for this call is in the frying pan! It's the only slate call I'll use next year.

Yella Hammer turkey call

I like the sounds I can get out of this call, and I have a dozen or so of different calls. It is supposed to function even when wet, and though I haven't tested it wet, I would be surprised if it had problems.
I'll try it next weekend on the real thing. Wish me good luck!
