Cabela's Deluxe Locking Hoist and Gambrel System

Hanging your game for skinning and processing is much easier with this locking hoist system. The self-locking device makes it easy to keep game at the height you want without having to tie the rope off. The 20-1/2" gambrel has a 500-lb. capacity for the largest deer-sized game. 4:1 lift assist ratio allows a single person to easily lift deer-sized game up to eye level.

I have used it for several years, it works great. It really makes it easy for one person to lift a deer. I have not had any problems with it. I like it so much I bought a second one, so I let them hang for several days to age. My son, likes it so well, he is trying to talk me into giving him my second one. I don't go hunting without them.

I bought this last year and finally used it. It was easy to assemble, use, and transport from tree to garage. I hung 135lbs of metal weight prior to using the gambrel as a test run. It held and locked fine. I am satisfied with the product. I am not so sure how long the rope will last.

The hoist and gambrel are very sturdy. It was already put together, all I had to do was attach it to the rafter. The only confusing part was that the locking arm was stuck up. Once I figured that out and popped it down it was real easy. Great buy and very handy to have. The gambrel comes off and it could be used for more than hanging game.
