double check your motor
Date:
I ordered this for my Merc. 90Hp. I believed I had twin pistons, and it turned out I only have one. Therefore, this product would not work for my set up. I can not comment on the functionabilty of the product.
I can however comment on the quality.
Poor:
Bolts are not stainless. they would rust in a month if exposed to salt as is the case here in Hammond Oregon.
The steering clips are very weak looking. I think the weight of the motor would snap them over time.
Good:
Solid construction. I would have no doubts it wouls support the weight of my 90 Hp.
the rubber used is stiff enough to hold the weight yet has enough give as to not damage the gears it is designed to cover.

So far, I like it
Date:
I have tried a couple of different transom savers, but I have a taillight on my trailer where they attach, and it's a long way to get there. I have had no luck with any of them, but this has worked very well the ten-or-so times I've used it so far. It adjusts easily, it holds up my outboard, and it can't bounce loose and be dragged down the road. I'm using it on a 90hp Honda, Lund ProSport, EZ Loader trailer combo.
