Picked this up on sale, best duck hunting jacket I have. Can be used for mild to very cold hunts. All you have to do is take the insulation layer out depending on the weather. I'm 6'2" 200lbs athletic build with long arms 36" sleeves so the "tall" fits perfect. I tuck it into my waders and stay as warm as I need to be in any condition. Buy this jacket if you are looking for a quality investment to use year in and year out.
Great fit, feel, and versatility. The only improvements I would make are a waterproof zipper for the outside vertical chest pocket (no zipper at all now), wider cuffs (a bit tight), and stronger snaps for the lower cargo pockets--they tend to come apart when the pockets are filled with shells.
Good jacket overall. Kept me warm sitting over decoys in single digit temps early in the morning, and was able to shed the outer layer to do some walking as temperatures increased during the day. Would like to see a more robust system to secure the two layers together and did experience some difficulty in getting the jacket off due to the high strength cuffs on the jacket. I usually ended up pulling the sleeves inside out to remove my hands.
First day out with my new jacket we sat in a soaking rain and it was worth it. Barn burner and I stayed dry the whole time. There is only one complaint I can think of for this purchase and that is there may actually be TOO MANY pockets if that's even possible! just kidding. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
