Ultralow nap resists burs and other vegetation
Odor-adsorbing Scent-Lok ClimaFlex lining
Revolution Fleece is every bit as soft, quiet and warm as the traditional fleece you’ve depended on for years. But it has virtually no nap, so burs and other vegetation won’t cling to it. Plus, it won’t pill and deteriorate, even after repeated washings and wear. Breathable, 100% waterproof Dry-Plus lining. Scent-Lok ClimaFlex™ lining adsorbs odor. Two on-seam slash pockets, two cargo pockets, zippered rear pocket, tricot lining for easy on and off, and belt loops. Imported. Inseam: 32". Even waist sizes: 32-42. Camo patterns:Realtree AP™, Vertigo™ Grey, Mossy Oak Break-Up® Infinity™.
I bought these pants to replace some cheap camo jeans because I wanted something waterproof. The Scent-Lok was an added bonus. I will not be keeping these pants because, when I put them on and walk around, they sound like I am wearing wind-breaker pants. I can't imagine how loud they would be when you're walking around the woods trying not to spook deer or trying to stand up in your treestand with the buck of a lifetime at 20 yards. I normally wear a 33" waist and purchased the 32" waist in these pants. They are slightly loose but fit comfortably. Other than the noise factor I really liked them so I wish they were quieter!
Went through a wide range of weather this season, from near 80 degrees to low teens. From a mild all day soaking rain to near flash flood rain conditions. Hunted at least three days a week from the beginning of bow season until close.
Pros: Waterproof - 5stars - I know it's billed as rainwear but still really impressed with the dryplus lining's ability to keep the rain out, even the all day soaking rain. fairly windproof - 4stars - not billed as windproof but it did a very good job of blocking negative temp windchills. does not attract burrs - 5 stars - I think I only found burrs on my pants twice throughout all my trekking, and those were easy to brush off. warm - 4 stars - for a non-insulated jacket it was surprisingly warm. I wore only this and a lightweight base layer for a still hunt in the low teens and sub-freezing windchills. I was cold but it was bearable. With a fleece layer I was extremely comfortable. Quiet - 3.5 stars - not as quiet as straight out fleece, but much better than others. The pants are loud if you move around in them quickly as other reviews have pointed out, but move slowly and you'll be OK. I had no trouble quieting them down by walking slower. Very good for a piece with both a scent layer and a rain layer. tab at back for license - 5stars - Must have item. You don't want to create a spot of failure in your rainwear.
Cons: Breathability - 2.5stars - Does not breathe as well as I hoped (in comparison to Gore-Tex linings). Had a sidearm tucked in the pants and after a long hike back to the truck I noticed it was covered with moisture.
Overall very pleased with the product. I purchased this along with Cabela's Rain Suede series to see which one I liked better. The Rain Suede seemed to be cut as a more "premium" piece but it collected more burrs and made significantly more noise than the Revolution Fleece. The noise factor sealed the deal for me and I returned the Rain Suede outfit.
Pants are OK for the price on sale but they are kind of noisy. Sounds like a layer of plastic when you move around. Outside fleece is nice and resistant to burrs, but the noisy lining is a nuisance. Might be OK for gun hunting but not for close up bow action. Going to try and exchange them for something quieter.
