Worked fine
Date:
Used these gloves all fall while spending days on stand in near-freezing temperatures. It seems like, no matter what I wear, my hands cool down. Having said that, these gloves performed well. Some days I did have to add heat packs but the gloves accomodated them. Yes, they are a little bulky, but the shooting fingers are functional and you can pull your shooting finger back into the glove to keep it warm.

No good

I would like to start out by saying these gloves run big so if you normaly wear a medium get a small well better yet don't buy them. I was whitetail deer hunting in Georgia in 37 degree weather with 11mph winds and within less than 2 hours of being in the stand my hands were numb. Another thing I would like to add is that these gloves are bulky. Yes the trigger finger is well made however that is if you can move your fingers when the big boy walks out. So please do yourself a favor and DO NOT buy these gloves for cold weather use (45 AND UNDER YOU WILL FREEZE).

Dry-Plus Scent-Lok Super Slam Elite Fleece Glove
Date:
My opinion of items I've purchased from Cabelas generally agrees with content in these reviews, but NOT on this item. I'm 5'10" 170# with average hand size. Temps dropped into the 15F range in TN today, allowing me to test two glove alternatives in the field. These lost. The palm size is large and very-well insulated. But fingers fit tighter than most gloves, especially the black spandex trigger finger of each glove... enough that that finger tip (trigger finger of both hands) was notably colder than the others immediately, too cold. I'll be returning the glove. The alternative that worked well was a glo-mit style, the Bowhunter Convertible Gloves by Manzella (there are several other pop-top styles now sold by Cabelas as well). They kept my hands warm and dry even when covered in snow. I used a pair of Scent-Lok Savanna EXT Shooter's Gloves as liners. The combination was a winner, allowing fine manipulation with liners only (top down) when needed, while keeping comfortable.
