Microtex Lite is the ultimate in hot-weather-hunting gear. It’s half the weight of original Microtex, but with the same properties and features as the original. It dries amazingly fast, won’t fade or pill and breathes extremely well. Its combed polyester construction boasts unmatched strength and silence resulting from its low-nap, incredibly tight, microweave construction. The six-pocket pants feature two back patch pockets, two front quarter top pockets and two cargo pockets on the legs. Heavy-duty YKK® zipper. Belt loops. Imported.
Inseam: 32".
Even waist sizes: 30-46.

Good buy for hot weather

I just got back from an Aoudad hunt in south Texas where I wore these pants every day.
The daytime highs were around 105 degrees and these pants kept me as cool as any pants I've ever worn. They stayed tough in the desert terrain - crawling over lava rocks and through cactus and thorn bushes.
The only downside is they do pick up burrs and stickers which aren't always easy to pick out (makes them 4 stars instead of 5). I have no real improvements on these pants, I recommend them for warm weather endeavors!

better than regular microtex pants

The waist size is correct on the Lite versions. A 42 waist is 42 inches where the standard Microtex pants run two inches large (size 40 are 42 inches). Much lighter than the standard version. Will make good all-around/all-season pants--great for hot weather and just layer over tech-weight (medium/heavy) base layer if you need more warmth. Material drys fast and is tough like denim. Only thing I don't like is the button rear pockets. Would rather have a fold over rear pockets like the Silent Weave or other lightweight pants. Do that and they would be 5 stars for me.

best hunting pants I've ever owned

I've been hunting in Hawaii for a while. It's hard to find a strong, durable, but light weight pair of pants for our year round warm weather. Cabelas microtex was the perfect answer. It doesn't fade and dries very fast for the tropical showers. I highly recomend this item for anyone that hunts in a warmer climate.
