Im not going to bore you with every little detail and pro/con. It is what it is. It's quiet, stretches where needed when needed and Scent-Lok lined. Only complaint: I hunt in hardwoods with mostly huge oaks and the Mossy Oak Break-Up has a slight shade of yellow to it. Since deer dont see colors....it doesnt really matter now does it? I highly recommend. Good luck n shoot straight!!!
I buy a lot of camo from cabelas but have never been impressed enough to write a review. Now I am!!!! This jacket is what I long looked for. A warm, non-bulky, quality, fuctional outer coat for bow and gun hunting. I live in the south so this will be my outerwear almost every day of the seaon. With my MT050 non-insulated rain parka for cover, it will probably go with me hunting every trip now. It is form fitting, but not tight. It is warm but not hot on chilly days. And it has just enough room to allow for a undershirt and midlayer for the real cold days. As far as fit goes: I am avg size, 5'11'/175 and the large is perfect!!! Not stretced on like thermal underwear, but just nice fitting without any bulk. If you want to put more layers underneath then go up one size----maybe (sub-zero)?? The quality of material, pockets, collar, sleeve fasteners and bottom drawstring make it a wonderful jacket experience for a hunter. AWESOME product-----surprised it doesn't have a full page display in the big catalog??
This is a super nice jacket. When I first received the jacket -MOBUI-, the first thing I did was to rub the material against itself to check for the quietness. It was quiet...super quiet. *smiles*
Then I tried it on for fit. I was expecting it to be snug based on all the reviews. And it was. But not in a negative way. The material is kind of "stretchy," and the cut is made to fit that way. I absolutely love it. It reminded me of an Under Armour long-sleeved fleece thermal. I am a short and stocky (muscular) shooter, and it fit me snug. But if you are on the "gordito side" (plump), then I would suggest going one size larger.
The sleeves are narrow and form-fitting. It is not really meant to wear anything underneath, except maybe a super thin Under Armour or Polartec long sleeved shirt. But that would be the most. The fit is cut tight. (The jacket itself would fit under a looser-fitting jacket as a base layer). It also has a velcro wrist band that can be adjusted to your fit. (Great). And the sleeves have THREE internal elastic straps to form-fit even better. (One just below the elbow, one right above the elbow, and one almost under your tricep). This is for us archers, so that loose sleeves will not interfere with the bow strings.
Personally, the top elastic (under the tricep) was a bit too much. And if you have bigger biceps and triceps (like I do), then this elastic could have the tendancy to pinch the artery or nerve, and cause "sleepy arm". So I cut the elastic under the tricep of both sleeves off. The fit is much better, and the sleeves are still tight enough to not interfere with the strings or handling of the bow.
The exterior material of the jacket is also a low-cut, velvety, fleece. Not the big, dense, debris-catching fleece. But a satiny, smooth, fleece. Wow...super nice.
Overall I would rate this jacket a solid SIX STARS!
I liked it enough, that I now have two of them, and I have also ordered the matching pants as well. The pants have not arrived yet, so I will save my review of them for a later date. (Look for it soon).
Outstanding jacket that performs as advertised. Great camo reproduction and extremely silent, comfortable, and warm material. I am 6'0, 210lbs. and the XL fit great with just enough room for extra layers when temps drop below about 38 F. Highly recommend! Kudos to Cabelas!
