Cabela's Outfitter Series™ GORE-TEX® 3-in-1 Parka

  • Waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX Performance Shell fabric
  • Liner jacket has 200-gram Thinsulate Insulation
  • Parka has 100-gram Thinsulate Insulation in the hood
Featuring the two most respected names in weatherproof protection: W.L. Gore’s GORE-TEX membrane and 3M’s Thinsulate™ Insulation, this series represents the new pinnacle of performance in cold-weather hunting clothing. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membrane guarantees you stay dry come rain, sleet, snow or ice. A layer of Thinsulate Insulation internalizes your body warmth within the garment to have you warm and comfortable during frigid late-season hunts. Unlike other insulation, Thinsulate has a high warmth-to-weight ratio, meaning better insulation properties with less bulk. Because silence is of the utmost importance in the field, the shell fabric of the garments is whisper quiet. The 3-in-1 Parka gives you the versatility to change with the weather conditions. Removable liner jacket has 200-gram Thinsulate Insulation. Parka has 100-gram Thinsulate Insulation in the hood. Liner has one chest pocket and two slash pockets. Parka features: zippered accessory pocket, fleece-lined zippered handwarmer pockets with zippered cargo pockets behind, mesh interior pocket with hook-and-loop closure, zippered front with snap-close storm flap, drawcord waist and bottom hem, hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and fully adjustable detachable hood for volume fit and unimpeded peripheral vision. Imported.

Dry and warm
Date:
Jacket with the liner is extremely warm. Around 40 degrees only needed the shell on. Have not been in anything colder yet. Stayed dry in rain. Very quiet. Looks and feels great. Great storage room with big pockets.

Warm and Quiet
Date:
Used this Parka for warm and cold weather bow and rifle hunts. The inner liner works great for cool weather bow hunts and when wearing both is not too bulky for drawing back. This parka allows you to lighty layer and still be warm. Also very quiet. I shot two deer bow hunting both within 15 years and neither heard a thing. Other reviews talk about tight fit around the cuff. I prefer the tight cuffs on the inner liner because it keeps wind out. Very pleased with this purchase!!

great product

Hi,
this 3 in 1 parka, as well as the matching bibs are very good. this was a big purchase for me, so i was reluctant to buy these after some of the reviews said the parka and bibs dont hold up in plum thickets, etc. i was out in the thickest of cover with stickers, wild rose bushes and cockleburrs. these both held up very well. glad i bought them, and they are quite quiet.

Great Parka!
Date:
Very warm and very waterproof. Have had mine for about 3 or 4 years now and have had it in rain, snow, and freezing rain. Never been wet yet. The removable liner makes it very versatile for when temps fluctuate. Material is quiet and warm. Yes, the wrist areas are a little snug but it hasn't been a problem for me. This parka has endured several washings with no ill effects or shrinkage. This serves me perfect for the purpose in which I bought it- long sits on stand in cold or extreme weather. It is not without some faults but I still rate it 5 stars and the details will explain this...
Will attract burrs and vegetation and is easily ripped in briars and multi-flora rose. However, I don't think this was made for trekking through that type of terrain and it is definitely not what I intended to use it in. You will need a Carhart or similar heavy duck material for situations like that. This is not your coat for going through the thick-nasty bush. If it does rip or get a few small holes in it like mine did you can always add a piece of camo duct tape. Works fine and still no leaks. This coat is heavy. I believe that is a tradeoff for warmth so I accept it. One last small issue is the depth of the chest pocket. The placement for this pocket is perfect and I love using it for rangefinder, etc. However, it is deep and you really need to dig way down in to find what's stored there most of the time. Not a huge deal. Overall, I see this lasting me for many more years and would recommend it to anyone. Camo doesn't fade with time/use, warmth and waterproof properties provide same level now as they did when I received it new. Great product!
