Originally adopted for use by the U.S. military, including the Special Operations Forces, Extended Cold Weather Clothing System (E.C.W.C.S.) Polartec Power Dry is exceptionally effective at wicking moisture away from the skin. Dual-surface system has a tough outer layer for rapid dissipation of sweat that has been drawn away from the skin by the inner layer. This leaves a soft, dry surface next to your skin. And because layering is an essential part of cold-weather protection, the outer fabric is smooth-faced, so other layers slip on easily. Incorporates a high-loft grid channel back for enhanced breathability and superior moisture wicking. Offers even greater compression than conventional fleece for easier packing. Polar Weight delivers incredible warmth with minimal weight. Imported.

COMBAT the cold - Not just for military use

I recently purchased a Cabela's Military Power Dry Polar WT underliner specifically for use while setting in a deer blind. I must say that being a rather thin person, cold gets to me more than most folks and shivering is usual for me even with multiple layers. This week however I used my recent purchase of the Polar WT Power Dry underliner in my deer blind - WOW what a comfortable warm experience. 21 degrees felt like summer.
I will never again endure the cold outdoors without wearing my new second skin on my body.

I have now purchased an additional ECWCS
Polar WT. I score this a SIX on the FIVE scale

This shirt marks the end of my quest to find a hard-core winter base that doesn't restrict my fly casting. It breathes well, wicks well, and the long zipper is a life-saver on long trecks between fishing holes. It's plenty long enough that it never comes untucked. The neck could use another half inch of girth in my opinion, but when the wind is howling, I get over it. If I sweat a little, it doesn't feel clammy against my skin. The outer face dosn't "stick" to other layers, so I never feel like I'm bound up in my clothes. Awesome. I will own the matching bottoms soon.

Used it fishing in 35 degree weather and wore just a lightweight fishing jacket over the top and it was plenty warm. Took the jacket off as the temp got in the 40's and I was actually too warm. The zippered front came in handly to cool down. Size wise, I'm 5'7' 180 lbs and the large top and medium bottoms fit perfect. The calves on the bottoms were not loose on me as another review stated. Good quality product.

Very nice fit, non restricting, very warm. The neck is super comfortable. The are as warmer as a super nice sweatshirt.
