Hey Bub, try Kalin's Scrub
Date:
Crappies will eat these things before they'll eat a worm. Gills eat them to. Have yet to get a Bass on one because the Crappies and Gills can't leave it in the water long enough for a bass to see it. Take a kid fishing and put one of these under a slip bobber. They'll be busy all day.

My vote for best crappie bait
Date:
It must be the two paddle tails, but something about this bait never fails to catch crappies. I like Arkansas shad. When I put a few in a pouch with some other green crappie tubes, they turned greenish too. They still worked great, so this time I'm ordering some chartruese too. The only bad thing about these is that the paddle tails get bit off before long. They stay on the jig well, not slipping off like some hollow bodied tubes do.
