A sturdy rubber sling holds the chains securely on a variety of boots and shoes without the need for straps that are prone to slippage. I just finished a long weekend ice fishing using these chains on completey smooth ice. Other fishermen were falling or walking very slowly so that they did not fall. We able to walk and fish without any fear of falling. It was like having tire snow chains on your boots. I would highly recommend these to anyone who will be walking on slick ice.

Non Slip Wading

I used the cheaper chains on my felt sole waders and they worked very well. I'm upgrading to the better chain. These will save you a dunking on slippery rocks.

I have walked lots of miles in these and they always keep me upright. I had used the Cabela boot chains for years and thought those were great, but these are really a step up for a couple bucks more - beefier rubber strap and more chain under the boot. Great deal for the price.
