Purchased this 6 months ago. It does what its suppose to do, I've checked the temp when I first received it with two other thermometers. The audio is loud and you can clearly see what the temp is. With the option to set the type of food your testing takes the guess work out of trying to remember what the temp is suppose to be.
On the cover also has listed temps for various types of meat.
Great product.
