The powerful 400-watt/120-volt motor is capable of grinding more than 2-lbs.-per minute to make quick work of meat grinding. And unlike most grinders, it has an all-metal head and tray, instead of plastic, for greater durability. Metal cutting knife and grinding plates in three sizes (fine, medium and coarse). Forward and reverse. Dimensions (when
assembled): 12"H x 5-1/2"W x 9-1/4"D.
Weight: 12 lbs.
I don't do a lot of grinding but I've been through two of these because the plastic parts stripped. Cabella's quickly replaced the first one but the second was out of warranty. When it worked, it worked well, though.
got this grinder this year used it on 4 deer worked great definetly worth the money maybe not great for heavy use but for a few animals a year worked wonders, way better than hand crankin
This grinder is great. I was hesitant when I first decided to buy this grinder because some of the reviews weren't as good as the pro-grade grinder. I have used the grinder on 4 deer without any problems. This grinder is good quality and very fast! It could "eat" the meat faster than I could add it. Also used the grinder to make sausage and it works great. Many previous reviewers were concerned about the plastic gears. I can attest that there is no reason to be worried about this product or the plastic gears. In fact, an extra gear is provided with the product so that should help ease any concerns you have.
I purchased this grinder along with the sausage stuffier. The sausage stuffier leaked meat around the cylinder so I took it back The grinder leaked meat back into the gear housing and you could not clean it out. I found it out after I took it out of the box to use it the second time the smell was horrible, Also it will not make "snack sticks" even when you go to the nearest Cabelas and purchase the kit to make "snack sticks"
