Sausage Made Easy

I got the Cabelas 1hp commercial grinder a few years back and have just recently graduated to making my own sausage. The foot pedal makes it possible to do the entire job yourself without ever getting nervous or having to scramble for the off switch. When you need to add more meat to the hopper or put a new casing on the funnel, just raise your foot a bit and the grinder comes to a instant stop, thereby stopping the flow of meat from the funnel. I got all the components for sausage making from Cabelas; grinder, meat mixer, scale, casings and seasonings. I used the foot pedal for the first time yesterday making 20lbs of Italian mild sausage that came out perfect and uniform, not a lot of air bubbles to fight. Made the entire process a lot less work and a lot more fun.

I would have given it 10 stars if that were an option. It lets u singlefootedly control the grinder while keeping both hand moving the meat. This is a "Must Have" addition to any grinder. It's designed to be used with any plug so it can have mulptiple applications.

This product is essential with the commercial model grinders.

I suspect the reason some owners report their grinders overheat is because they turn them on and run them constantly even when nothing is being ground. With this switch you only need to have the grinder running when you are actually feeding the hopper.

Makes the grinding process much more efficient.
