With time-honored designs that have been passed down from one generation to the next for more than a century, Schrade Old Timer pocketknives blend classic style and utility with heirloom quality. All models have 400 series stainless steel blades, Derlin® handles and nickel-silver bolsters.

  • Premium Trapper – Sports a clip-point blade, gut hook and saw blade. Blade length: 3.3". Closed length: 4.1". Weight: 4.8 oz.
  • Middleman – A classic three-blade design with a clip-point blade, sheep’s-foot blade and pen blade. Blade length: 2.4". Closed length: 3.3". Weight: 1.8 oz.
  • Middleman Jack – A traditional two-blade model with a pen blade and clip-point blade. Blade length: 2.4". Closed length: 3.3". Weight: 1.7 oz.

Lost my other name brand knife that had a gut hook so I thought I tried this one. Killed a nice buck yesterday and had a great chance to test it out. The blade wasn't very sharp, the guthook barely worked and all the blades were was a pain to open. The saw barely worked. Also, I prefer a lock blade. Besides that, for the price, what can you expect.

I have several of these Schrade Old Timer knives and never had a problem with them. Very sharp and well crafted. These are all made overseas now as opposed to the USA made versions I had as a kid, but they are still well built and great quality.
