Its straightforward Ken Steigerwalt design and modest 4.6" closed length make the Torrent an excellent everyday carry knife. Nitrous torsion arms, slotted in dual-locking liners, flip the blade open whenever and wherever it is needed. The .1"-thick, 3.6"-long, 154CM stainless steel drop-point blade has edge-preserving 58-61HRC hardness and features an ambidextrous thumb stud. Black G10 scales are textured for a tacky all-weather grip. Tip-down carry clip. Made in USA. Blade length: 3.6". Closed length: 4.6". Overall length: 8.2". Weight: 3.5-oz.
This is not only a perfect edc blade it looks very nice. The blade sits deep in the pocket due to the high clip placement and the blade is lightning fast. The Steigwalt design is very functional and classy. The only con and it is very small is the thumb stud is a little small on one hand deployment but with a little practice this is a very non issue. Grips look very good and have a nice feel throughout the handle. The grips are very smooth so don't expect it to be a textured grip like some of the other benchmade knives. The 890 is a great knife and a must have for the collector or person looking for a great every day carry blade.
