I have shot into numerous bag targets, but this one does not adequately stop bolts when shot from a modern crossbow. I shoot a TenPoint, with 455gr bolts at 330fps, which isn't ridiculously fast. These generate about 110ft-lbs of kinetic energy, and upon impact, the bolt either goes completely through or is stopped with the vanes in the bag. Not useful as a target as vanes are quickly ruined. Use only with low powered crossbows or keep shopping!

I have had this target and its bigger cousin for a while now and they both are excellent. Both targets hold up well and are a great value. I find this target the perfect size to throw in the truck for hunting trips and not get in the way. I used to take the larger target for the same purpose and it works just fine for a discharge target, but due to its size and weight I opted to get the smaller target to save space (and my back...lol). Overall excellent products.

Great Way to Unload Your Crossbow

This compact target does an excellent job stopping my bolts. My Dad and I both unload our crossbows using this target and it works fantastic. (We both shoot Ten Point Crossbows) Don't hesitate to purchase this target to unload your bows. It WILL stop your bolts even "at point blank range"

From day one I liked it.. It paid for itself I'm sure by not ruining any arrows as the first arrow I shot in the ground per xbow instructions was destroyed. I pull this target out of my back cab area ,throw it 3-5 yds and unload with a cheap bolt, Going on 2nd season with the same bolt. Hint I dulled the tip with a hammer. It's not meant to be a target but a discharge bag..
