McKenzie ShotBlocker™ Backyard Target

  • The most durable and longest-lasting layered-foam target
  • Welded Core construction eliminates pass-throughs
  • 21" x 21" x 18"
The ShotBlocker is the most durable and longest-lasting layered-foam target available. It is 29% more durable than the leading layered foam target. The patented Welded Core™ construction eliminates the need for plates, cables, wires, straps or bands. The result is a tougher target with layers that won't shift, move or fall apart. This construction eliminates pass-throughs and ensures unsurpassed durability to last for thousands more shots compared with the competition. They can be shot on all four sides and, best of all, the foam slivering common to most layered targets is greatly reduced. The Backyard target has a scoring target face and a vitals face.
Measurements: 21" x 21" x 18".

This is a piece of junk
Date:
I wish I could show you the slivering that is happening with this target! After 50-75 shots in each "side", it's literally disintegrating. Don't waste your money on this over-advertised, over-priced piece of junk!

ShotBlocker Good for Field Tips
Date:
Had this now for 3 seasons, this year I started to have fletching contact with my field tips using the center target area up to 30 yards. The other areas of the target stop the arrow about half way now. I shoot a bowtech guardian at 69# 30inch draw with 420 grain Easton Axis arrows.
I tried to tune my broad heads using this target. I found that if you unscrew the head before pulling the arrow out you reduce the amount of slivering. Since it's a layered target, expect slivers of foam falling to the ground when the broad head exists after the shot. I have only shot 12 arrows tipped with broad heads at this target, once they are tuned, I only shoot my field tips.
Overall it's a good target but it will not hold up to broad head use. Get the Rinehart block, best for stopping broad heads. Looks like they painted the deer vitals on the side of the target this year, mine has a cheap plastic cover that is all shot up so the painted version should hold up better.

McKenzie ShotBlocker
Date:
I purchased the large shotblocker, backyard target from Cabelas. I would not buy it again. Arrows from crossbow and compand are not easily removed, I lost broadhead's and field tips in this target while pulling arrows out. The arrows were high quality, and high priced I have shot this target, less than 20 times. It is over rated and over priced.
