This series from master designer Ted Juracsik has something for all your saltwater fly-fishing adventures. The Everglades (7-9) will let you step up to beefier species, such as permit and bluefish. Or, choose a Riptide (9-11) if you're after stripers, tarpon and sharks. The Gulfstream (11-15) is the choice for the big boys - giant tarpon, sailfish, marlin and tuna. All have flawless impregnated cork disc drag systems that slow the runs of speedy fish and large arbors to retrieve line quickly after you've turned them. Comes with nameplate that Tibor will engrave free of charge. Made in USA.

The Gulfstream is the best reel money can buy at any price. The engineering is perfect and the workmanship is flawless. So much for looks, which are great, lets move on to what really counts. POWER to turn a big fish like a tarpon h-bent for leather, reel screaming, jumping, fliping, burning line like a mad rhino POWER. This reel has breaks when you need them and great touch. If you have ever cooked a real on a trophy fish you will appreciate this work of art. Really, it's that great. I use this reel on tarpon and permit in shallow water on the left coast of Florida and if you ever have done that you know what I'm talking about. If you never have and want to, don't spend your money on anything but this reel. You will be glad you have it when you need it and if you fish like I do you will need it, again and again. Toughness goes hand in hand with a great design and craftmanship. You can spend a couple of hundred bucks on reel after reel or just buy one that you can hand down through the generations and thats' hard to find today. I am starting my grandson on flyfishing for big Gulf of Mexico fish and guess what he is getting from Santa? I know he can pass his along to his future children and grandchildren. The Best Reels Ever?

They very well could be the best ever. At least in my limited opinion. Since I began using the Tibor Everglades for Steelhead and Salmon here in Michigan I have dramaticly increased the number of fish I get to the net and then have the pleasure of watching them swim away. The drag is extremely smooth and if it came down to a decision between putting money into this reel or a nice fly rod I would have to say this reel is the way to go.
