Gray Flyrise #2, a GREAT reel deal!

I purchased the gray #2 and a spare spool. In my opinion, for the price, you simply aren't going to find a nicer reel. The Lamson Konic is a direct competitor to this reel, and simply put this is a smoother reel that costs about $20 less, and has comparable looks, materials, and weight. I put this reel on my wife's new 5 weight St. Croix 8 1/2' Imperial rod - she loves it and it's a match made in heaven! The weight is a bit more than a "premium" top of the line reel, but it balances my wife's very light Imperial rod just about perfectly, which is to say, right where your forefinger would be on the handle. It has a great drag with a super smooth adjustment knob, nice looks, performance and quality for a bargain price. The reel is cast aluminum, but is machine finished and though it isn't anodized, it's finished with a nice tough coating that looks nice and is very durable. Highly recommended!

This reel is good for the price with large diameter v.s weight for a aluminium cast frame, but drag have not qualitylike premium Ross reels.
