SWEEEEEEET REEL!

I have this reel in a size 4 and love it. I use it for my bonefishing trips to the Bahamas and my trout fishing trips out west. I have had no issues what so ever and I must have caught over 50 bonefish on my last trip with this reel. The drag is super smooth and the design it beautiful. Really neat colors too. I have a copper one and will be getting a green one soon. I recommend this reel big time!

The new Vexsis is a has earned it's spot in the Ross lineup. It's very much like the Evolution in that the drag is ultra smooth, and has a total lack of startup effort. I do think that the drag on this reel is a little more powerful then the Evo's, and seems to allow a little more variance of adjustment. The drag knob is a little lower profile, and stays out of the way when fishing. I do like the positive engagement of the spool thanks to the use of magnets, it's not really an upgrade, but it is nice.
The overall fit and finish seems to be first rate, not really a shock from Ross. I personally like the look of the new reel over the hundred hole ports on the past Evo. The grey is much darker than it looks in the photos.

Simply phenomenal! Many people in the world of fly fishing, especially those who fish fresh water, will tell you that a reel is for line storage. In some instances, fishing small beaver ponds or that brook out behind the house, I would agree. But what about those streams with \u201ca few nice surprises\u201d? What about those waters that you know your personal best fish will come from, you just don\u2019t know when. Those are the times that the Ross Vexsis shines through. This reel from Ross has everything you could want in a reel: functionality, good weight balance, incredible stopping power, and unnoticeable start up inertia. Add on top of that the magnetic spool release and a drag with no click stops, just smooth increase at whatever increment you need. Oh yeah, throw in good looks just for fun and a great price and you have just found this anglers reel of choice for a long, long time to come. I have these reels on two pair of 3WT and 5WT rods and love the Ross Vexsis for both!
I went out with a client the first time he fished his. He is relatively new to the sport and said, \u201cI am not sure I will be able to tell the difference.\u201d He had been fishing a hand-me-down for a couple years. We hadn\u2019t been in the water two minutes and he said, \u201cWow, I wish all fly fishing products made such huge improvements. I would change out my entire fly fishing outfit!\u201d
Again, put in plain terms, the Ross Vexsis Series reels are UNREAL! Fish one and you will agree.

Exceptional Reel!

The new Ross Momentum LT reels have the same powerful drag system as the Ross Momentums, but they weigh significantly less due to more aggressive porting. Excellent quality and durability and well worth the money!
