Pflueger® Trion Fly Reels

An innovative oversized ball bearing makes this one of the smoothest-operating reels you’ll ever fish. And a one-way clutch bearing lets you enjoy effortless retrieves even with the drag tightened. The large-arbor spool takes up line quickly and reduces line coil. A patented center disc-drag system ensures total drag control. Both the frame and spool are constructed of machined, anodized aluminum, and an easy-release switch makes it simple and quick to change spools. Converts for right- or left-hand retrieve.

Excellent Fly Reel

Very good fly reel, smooth, good drag system, workmanship, styling. Some flash that is backed up by good performance. Looking to buy another one for another rod. Have used Pfluegers for 40 years and still using them.

Would give five stars but don't like the bright finish. Pflueger should have went with a dark anodized finish. Other than the finish it is a great reel for the price.

Awesome Fly Reel

Can't say enough about this real. I purchased this reel for a smallmouth trip on one of Missouri's Ozark streams. The reel not only looks great, but performs great for a great price. I honestly don't know of a better reel for the money. Everyone on the trip though I had to have spent over $200 for this reel. The drag system is flawless and very ergonomic. It handled well in rainy and dry conditions and I caught my best smallie on a fly to date measuring 18". Heading back down in a few weeks to try and top it.

I absolutely love this reel. It's the best I've ever owned. If they ever discontinue it I will literally cry.
My wife bought me one for our anniversary over 10 years ago and I used it like crazy until I lost it in New Mexico. I left it and my rod on top of the car. I loved it so much that I went and bought the exact same thing over again. The drag is super easy to use. The color and style is classic but flashy. The wood knob is a very nice touch. Everything about this reel is very durable. Buy it. You won't regret it.
