    The magnet closure is great, and I like this foam box, BUT I think the ripple foam could be better designed, with deeper ripples, to minimize hackle disturbance. For midges and nynmphs, I'd prefer flat foam, at least on one side.

    This box gets the job done. The magnets are very strong and will not come undone by themselves. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the foam either. Flies stay put very well. That being said, the box itself is a little bulky. I don't have trouble fitting it in my vest, it's just that it sticks out a little and may fall out. Which can be disasterous if your wading fast water and you bend down to pick up a fish.
