Nearly indestructible housing for your prized fly patterns. The combination of impact-resistant plastic, heavy-duty metal hinges and external rubber bumpers fortify the box for extreme durability. A 360° waterproof rubber gasket seals out water. Front cam locking system secures the box to keep it closed if dropped. Each box has spring-loaded compartments on one side and high-density ripple foam on the other. Sizes:
Small – Eight compartments – 3"L x 4-5/8"W x 1-5/8"H
Medium – Eight compartments – 3-3/4"L x 5"W x 1-5/8"H
Large – 12 compartments – 3-3/4"L x 6-1/2"W x 1-3/4"H
Jumped in the river after it fell out of my pocket. (Bought a better vest when I returned from the trip). Not great for big dry flies, smaller dries can go nicely in the compartments. Spring works very well even after 200 days on the river. I like the larger one better, but this one is perfect for wet wading or when you know the river, know the fish and don't need a ton of patterns. Keep it in the glove box and head out after work.
I have one of these but the 2 sides come too close together to load with any larger (bigger than size 14) dry flies. It crushes the hackles and wings when the box is closed. It is water tight and I have moved my numphs into the box. I like the box, but don't think it will keep the larger bugs in good condition.
