Cabela's Aluminum Fly Box

Whether you need a box for dry flies, a box for nymphs and streamers, or a combination, these boxes meet your needs. Compartment models protect precious dry flies. Choose between clips or foam for holding nymphs and streamers. All boxes are ventilated to dry your flies at day's end. Flies not included.
  • The 40-compartment Box has individual see-through lids to let you pick your pattern without opening each compartment. Plenty of compartments to store all your different patterns.
    Box measures 7" x 3-1/2" x 1-9/16".
  • The 20-compartment Box holds dry flies, wets, nymphs and streamers. This is the best all-around box you'll find for the money.
    Box measures 7" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/2".
  • The Six-compartment Box may be small enough to fit in a vest pocket, but it has big features. Holds a generous amount of both dry and wet flies without a lot of bulk.
    Box measures 3-1/2" x 2-3/8" x 1".
  • The Center Leaf Spring Clip Box is well-suited for holding a generous number of streamers and nymphs. When full, this box can keep you prepared for any situation.

  • The 16-Compartment Box is a general-purpose fly box that will protect everything and hold a good assortment of your flies.

    suggestions to improve long-term use
    Date:
After repeated use, the spring clips that hold the compartment lids shut lose their hold. It's really frustrating to accidentally open the box upside down - have one or more compartment lids flip open - and watch a dozen flies fall into the stream.
If the spring clips cannot be reinforced, why not magnetize the bottom of the box, like some of the flat plastic dry fly boxes?

    Excellent Box For Flies
    Date:
I lost my Wheatley box and needed a box to replace it with. I did not have the money to buy another Wheatley so I gave this box a try. I was really amazed at the quality of this box. It is right up there with a Wheatley at a quarter of the cost. I highly recommend.

    Good buy

I like these boxes. Some others brands i looked at had doors that did not stay closed. i have two of them now. I wish they made a ten door in the same size box.
