Don't get me wrong, I do catch fish on several patterns that came in this assortment... You get a lot of flys for the price and they all just kind of "ok", nothing special.

I bought this assortment about 4 months ago and I go fishing every weekend. They are great looking flies but the hooks are far too small on the majority of the poppers. The point of the hook is very close to the body of the popper making it hard for the hook to catch the lip of the fish. There are 7 poppers in the assortment that have appropriately sized hooks. I've had quite a bit of luck with the terrestrial flies however.

The poppers work great, I take the bugs apart and use the pieces in other stuff I tie. A package of small poppers only would be better for me.
