High-performance X50 technology offers the near-invisibility of fluorocarbon, with the premium softness, castability and sensitivity you expect from monofilament and braid. Its low-stretch, nonabsorbent 100% pure PVDF extruded formula offers a supple feel for long-distance casting, ultrastrong knots, fast sinking and far more sensitivity than monofilament. It's made in the top Japanese extrusion facility and engineered with X50 technology, which creates fluorocarbon with a rugged, abrasion-resistant shell over a shock-absorbing core for break-preventing durability. It resists wear due to UV rays, chemicals and temperature extremes. Ideal as a main line or as leader material. Field-tested for freshwater and saltwater duty.

I've been using this line for about a year now and have found it to be the best handling fluorocarbon line I've ever used ... and I've tried just about everything available. I've used this X50 line in 4# 8# 12# 15# and 20# and am completely satisfied with the performance of all line sizes. I fish over 120 days a year and this line has performed flawlessly on every fishing trip.
I wouldn't put much stock in a 1 star review from someone who doesn't know how to correctly spool a spinning reel. I'm absolutely certain that faulty line wasn't the problem there. You can buy this line and be confident that you will get a top quality product.

I ran this line one several of my reels last year in both the 6 and 10 lbs test. It performed well on both spinning and casting gear. It has very good knot strength, abrasion resistance, and a very thin diameter. It behaves a lot like mono as far a cast ability and while I wouldn\u2019t say it has as much stretch as most monos, I would say it has a little more stretch to it then a lot of other fluorocarbons. I'll be ordering several spools for next year for guiding purposes. I have no complaints.

Great Line

I was in Cabelas in Dallas looking for Fluorocarbon line. The clerk told me that the new X50 line is made by Seaguar. I bought a spool of 12# and 8# have used both these lines in several tournaments lately. I can't see any difference between this line and Seaguar, (which is also a great line). I just ordered another spool of this X50 line.
